MM is McLean Media Training

This is about media training, from introductions to working with the press plus how to prepare for and be interviewed, to more advanced sessions covering in-depth and hostile interview situations for experienced participants. The aim is for each participant to leave feeling enlightened and confident about meeting the press and managing press relationships.

Sessions are offered to one to three participants, although up to six can be catered for. Depending on the schedules and needs of the participants, either half or full day training can be provided.

M1M is Mclean Media One on One

This covers advanced, personal media training. Here we look at furthering confidence and skills in interview situations, or emergency training for handling specific situations, from a press-facing executive that has just joined the company to managing adverse situations.

M1M is offered to participants on a one on one basis as a highly tailored session that is designed to fit into their schedule, from one hour to half a day.

MM2 is McLean Media Training for Groups

Parties of 10 or more people are introduced to the media, from how it works to how to approach it, including the tricks of the trade and hostile situations. Basic interview skills can also be covered, depending on the length of the session.

Sessions can be provided according to your needs. This ranges from a two hour presentation with question and answer session, to a half day, depending on what role playing sessions are required or possible according to the size of the group.

MMM is McLean Media Messaging

Some of the largest organisations in the world have little idea what the company message actually is, or how the work of individual divisions or departments fits into that whole. MMM is about message discovery through mixing the desired image of a company with what it needs to tell its audience, plus message creation for putting that message into words, and message delivery where participants are shown how that message can be expressed in interviews.

MMM can be provided on a tailored basis according to your needs.

MMpr is McLean Media Training for Public Relations

This is about introducing people new to public relations how the media is structured, how it operates, and how it can be approached. Pitching a story via email without being instantly deleted can be covered, as can the art of writing with style for press releases and the formula behind a successful case study.

Sessions can be highly tailored depending on the personal experience of participants, the areas they will be working in and the needs of the company.

MMtalk is McLean Media Training for Speeches

Participants are taught how to plan a speech based on general or specific topics, how to write a speech, and how to deliver a speech in confidence. This training course can be used to create a speech for an up and coming occasion, providing the participant with the skills and confidence they need for future speech writing.

Training can either be provided as half day sessions for group introductions to speech writing or one on one speech writing sessions, or full day sessions for groups that wish to work on specific speeches and gain confidence in delivery. These guidelines are, of course, flexible.
